I REALLY like her. Freshman year of high school they called us Sarica because we had every class together, and our handwriting is identical, and we took sign language together and used to spell everything we heard. We've known each other since 3rd grade when she used to run away from me on the playground and our friendship has evolved and grown and become more wonderful with every passing year. When I come home from school and when we can squeeze it in, we meet at Chipotle (she also introduced me to Chipotle!) and sit and talk about our lives for HOURS. Literally. Tonight it was 5 hours. I love how we have gone from talking about class and unimportant matters to having real conversations about our faith, love, where we are in life, where we are going, people that influence us, how we are changing, and so much more. I don't talk to very many people from high school, and this is one friendship that I can't imagine not having.
I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing loud in the car with the windows open and stay up all night laughing and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. And I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift.
